Subtle signs your partner is falling out of love

We all talk about how great falling in love is, and how it feels. However, very few people openly talk about falling out of love. This is mainly because of the societal implications and the feelings of guilt and shame that come along with confessing that one has fallen ‘out’ of love with someone. Due to this, signifiers of the same are difficult to identify. Thus, to make you more aware of the same, here is a look at subtle signs your partner is falling out of love.

1.Picks little fights because they "need space"

Picks little fights because they "need space"

If you two are good at communicating with each other, they can easily tell you that they need some space. But if that's not the case, they will feel nervous about it and may resort to picking little fights in order to push you away. In addition, though it is not the correct way of getting space, it is the only way they think to get it in when they are falling out of love.

2.They stay at work well beyond the office hours

It is a concern when your partner suddenly starts to stay late at work. Still, you should not jump to conclusions too soon since the reason might be genuine. However, if it becomes a pattern, talk about it, and try to ensure that both of your needs are met.

3.They take longer to respond to texts

As mentioned earlier, when a person is falling out of love, he/she starts to ask for more space. This often results in them taking a longer time than usual to respond to texts or phone calls. If it continues for a prolonged period of time, ask them what's going on with them. You two can work out a plan so that no one feels ignored or overwhelmed.

4.They seem to be more reserved

Lack of love may also result in your partner drawing back physically and become less emotionally invested. If you notice them quieter than usual on a regular basis, it's time to talk to them and understand what's going on in their mind.

5.They always want to be left alone

They always want to be left alone

If all your partner wants is to be left alone, it's not a good sign. This is something that happens when people stop feeling comfortable with their partners. If they are being open about being left alone, it's okay since they are still being honest with you. However, if they are resorting to lies or fights, you two need to talk.

6.The relationship is no longer a priority

The relationship is no longer a priority

Your partner will stop making the relationship a priority when they are falling out of love. They will either completely withdraw themselves or spend less time with you. They might also start to become too busy with their own personal life.
